AMAZING.....
Describing our hike of Mt Kenya over the weekend is almost impossible. Five girls from around the globe who just met 6 days ago embark on a journey to the top of Mt Kenya with a crew of 8 from a local touring company here in Kenya.
I can't wait to share my entire hiking story and photos with all of my hiking friends at home....but the short version will have to do for the blog. Perfect weather, a guide and porters that felt like family when we left them, a 3:00 am summit hike under full moon conditions that you thought couldn't be topped(stars like I have never seen them before); only to be crowned by reaching the summit just as the sun crept over the horizon. I truly don't have the words to describe the richness and fullness of the experience that I was blessed to have been a part of this past weekend.....

It looks like someone has a better Labor Day then any of us back in the USA.. I have made it a point to look each day to start off on a good note by living vicariously through your travels. It looks like it will be something to stay with you for the rest of your life..The pictures from your hike could not give it justice to what you actually saw.. Stay safe and keep the BLOG going !!!!
