Now in Nyeri....

Yesterday......

Busy, busy, busy with little time for internet connections but a GREAT day for seeing the beautiful Kenyan countryside.

Day began with a trip to MMU and tour of the university, more interviews and more tea (we spend A LOT of time having tea).  Kenyan white tea and arrowroot is quickly becoming a fav...:-)

Angela reporting live from MMU TV studio....

And here is something you won't finding roaming around your campus in the US...

Next, we had to pack up our things and say goodbye to Nairobi.  Next stop, Nyeri.  It was a three hour trip but filled with sites from the beautiful Kenyan countryside.....pineapple plantations and our first sighting of Mt. Kenyan.

Sites from the journey to Nyeri..

Nyeri is much smaller than Nairobi but still has a city "feel" to it.  Nyeri is also much safer.  I am looking forward to be doing some exploring on foot here and running outside - which wasn't really safe to do in Nairobi.

Wrapped up the day with a team "sharing" dinner.....we all brought foods representative of our country or culture - fun stuff and off to bed with a sugar high!

Our Australian friends enjoying their first SMORES.....
