Leaving the Masai Mara....back to work

On Sunday, we had an early morning animal drive with a gorgeous view of the sunrise on the Masai Mara.  We saw more elephants, lions, and giraffes...

After a quick breakfast, we set sail for our LLLOOONGGG trip back to Nyeri.  The trip began with our "Kenyan massage" - two hours back through the unpaved section of road.  The Masia tribe raises cattle and goat...our two hours of "massage" was accompanied by tunes of cow bells along the way.

We spent 4 hours driving back to Nairobi....and then another 2 1/2 hours traveling from Nairobi to Nyeri.....uugghh!  But the weekend in the wild was worth it :-)

Despite the long day in the car, it was a beautiful fall day in Kenya.  We enjoyed the countryside scenery of a relaxing Kenyan Sunday ....families walking to church with children and enjoying the company of family in towns along the roadside!  It made me think of my family and loved ones at home....and miss them even more:-)

And then there was the motorcycle carrying a motorcycle....interesting.
